‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ reviews

John’s “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” flashback review, March 19, 2018

“Tomb Raider” — Some really fun action sequences and eye-popping scenery (mansions, temples, ice caves) make up for the boring expositional parts of what’s sure to be the first of many films based on the popular video game series. Angelina Jolie, assisted by a pair of huge prosthetic boobs, is a dead ringer for the game’s archaeologist Lara Croft, and she delivers a winning performance. A charismatic supporting cast (notably Daniel Craig as a rival tomb raider) rounds out this fine popcorn flick. B+
