‘Teaching Mrs. Tingle’ review

“Teaching Mrs. Tingle” – Writer-director Kevin Williamson makes the grade again, exploring the thought processes of evil teachers, the absurdities of the grading system and the power of manipulation. Katie Holmes, Barry Watson and Marisa Coughlan star as three high school seniors who engage in a battle of wits with the titular teacher from hell (a chilling performance by Helen Mirren), who they’ve tied to her bed after an initial confrontation goes away. “Tingle” features a simple but twist-filled storyline, likable characters, a clever romance subplot and solid soundtrack, though it lacks the action and fast pace of other genre films.
