‘Lost in Translation’ reviews

John’s Throwback Thursday review, March 25, 2021

“Lost in Translation” – Director Sophia Coppola portrays Tokyo in all its unnerving, otherworldly glory, softly illuminating the desperate yet perfect friendship (or is it love?) between lost souls Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. It’s got laughs (Murray’s wine commercial) and tears (his fractured karaoke rendition of “More Than This”). I think Coppola can be forgiven for “Godfather Part III” now.
