‘Mission: Impossible II’ reviews

Shaune’s “Mission: Impossible II” review, Dec. 6, 2018

***

“Mission: Impossible 2” — With director John Woo at the helm, you’d think “M:I-2” would deliver enough gratuitous action and violence to overcome a plot that’s both too convoluted to follow and too clichèd for anyone to care. But sadly, the motorcycle chase and vicious beachfront fight don’t come until the very end. Until then, we get and endless battle of wits between Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott), who outsmart each other by wearing the faces of other characters in the film. All of this silliness will provide lots of material for “Wrongfully Accused 2.” C
