Michael Olinger

Now living and working in Reno, Nev., Michael Olinger was a Weekend Digital Editor/Reporter for The Hilton Head Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette in South Carolina. He is also a rabid film buff who has 10 years of experience in various aspects of the entertainment industry and has worked as a film critic.

Michael has been a writer and director on two feature films, co-written, co-produced and co-starred in a local late night program in Reno, and ran the backstage camera unit for a stand-up comedy series airing on the Showtime Network.

He has been a film critic in either an amateur, semi-professional or professional capacity since age 11 and sees well over 100 movies each year in the theater.

His hobbies include writing bios about himself in the third person.

Also? He could really go for a taco right about now.

Michael previewed and reviewed new-release movies every month on “The Cold Bananas Show.”

He also co-hosted the “Credit Cookies” podcast with Alejandro Montalvo and Jordan Wines.
